You can take with a grain of salt the Fallout Bible since it was meant to expand things for the sake of giving fans material to work with for fanfiction or make them understand better overall the extra lore behind Falloutverse, but it's still gives a pretty good idea what the Authors were thinking the world was back then, and it wasn't a nice picture.Ī constant thing in the games that backs ups this view is how everything related to pre war constantly mentions this atrocities done everywhere, not just by the US but by everybody, basically the moment the UN was disbanded, the moment the bill of human rights and similar ethical aspects related to it went down with it.
The Fallout Bible pretty much painted a very grim and dark picture over the whole world, there were implications of China being the one creating the infamous plague that hit the US and the very same plague would later be harnessed to be reused later by the very US (ergo Van Buren), there is all those "food" lotteries in China that were tampered to favor only those the Party liked and that were very high in the ranking, and let's not get started about what the other countries were doing.
